Projects & uploads

Everything in Fablnx lives inside a project. A project is one contract drawing set and everything you build from it — the pages, the scenes, the design spec, the RFIs and the coordinated model.

The projects dashboard

When you sign in, you land on the Projects dashboard — a grid of cards, one per project.

Each project card shows a thumbnail of the drawing and the project name. From here you can:

ActionHow
Open a projectClick its card.
Create a projectClick the dashed New project tile, or drag a PDF onto it.
Delete a projectUse the trash button on the card, then confirm.

Deleting asks you to confirm first, so you can't lose a project with a stray click.

Creating a project

There are two ways to start a new project, and both take a contract-drawing PDF:

  • Click the New project tile and pick a PDF from your computer, or
  • Drag and drop a PDF straight onto the tile.

Fablnx reads scanned (image) PDFs and native vector PDFs alike, so it doesn't matter whether your drawing was exported from CAD or scanned from paper. As soon as the upload finishes, the project opens and the copilot starts reading the sheets — see The AI copilot.

Your account menu

In the top-right corner, your avatar opens the account menu. It shows your name and email and gives you Log out.

What happens next

Opening a project drops you into the workspace — the main IDE-style screen where all the real work happens.
